In Response to Cannot Logon =====Upset with AARP for no follow up after phone call.: What is wrong with this board where I cannot logon but I can post a new message but not edit or delete it once I do. Called support 2 days ago and was told there was a problem but nobody has followed up with me. To make it even more odd when I make this post it picks up my nickname. Posted by JimR45 Email I sent this morning a short time ago: I called 2 days ago that I was not able to logon to my account. When I received this email from you this morning I tried again. I have been a member for sometime, and I am upset that this problem has not been resolved and there has been no follow up with me. When I get to the login screen and enter my email address and password nothing happens other than the weblink changing on the address line from https://login.aarp.org/online-community/loginform.action to https://login.aarp.org/online-community/loginform.action# Before I called I thought it might just be me, but was told there was a problem but again there has been no follow up. I have been patient long enough, but am not any longer. I expect to hear from you this morning by phone or email if you want to keep me as a member. |

Posted by AARPGuide I just sent an email which includes the email formerly sent to member@aarp.org who has not replied. I did a copy and paste of the screen where I try to login but as said in post 2 it does not go anywhere and only changes the link on top adding the # symbol. As before I post this message yet it shows on top of my page LOGIN not my name. Also though I may post I may not edit or delete my post. Neither of those options should be displayed unless I am logged in. |

In Response to Re: Cannot Logon =====Upset with AARP for no follow up after phone call.: Test after resetting password in Firefox without relogging into aarp under IE9 Posted by JimR45 1. Tried using Google Chrome which was not successful. 2. Tried to login using FIREFOX but it complained about my id and password though neither had changed. 3. Requested password. Password was sent to my account. 4. Used temp password to reset password to original. 5. Tried to login to IE9 but problem was same as before. 6. Logged into AARP under Firefox which is a browser I do not want. This worked and is how this message is being posted. 7. Went back to Google Chrome which did not recognize that I was already logged into my account. 8. Logged into AARP under Google Chrome which was successful. 9. Posted message under Google Chrome successfully. 10. Edited post under under Google Chrome successfully. 11. Edited post under under FIREFOX successfully. 12. Tried to edit under IE9 but would not allow. 13. Clicked on reply and replied to this message under IE9 though on top LOGIN is displayed instead of my id. AARP needs to resolve problem under IE9. Assume change was made that stops IE9 from working properly. Seems odd that I can post under my id without loging into AARP under IE9. |

Posted by JimR45 Jim, margaret23509 seems to be having the same login problem that you are having. She has posted to the group Community Help. She mentioned that her problem began a few days ago as I believe yours did. I noticed that the Personal Pages were slightly modified about this time. It seemed to be just a design change to the header but I wonder if this caused the problem in some way. |

Posted by JimR45 Hello, I usually to do response to post, but you were able to find a phone number on this website?. I been trying to stop a pop-up regarding the win a spa trip. It pops up every time I trying to go to a new game. If I wanted to apply to win a trip I would have done so. Seems as they are trying to force me to enter the sweepstakes to go to Utah because there is no why for me to cancel the pop-up. It is very annoying. Only good thing is that it does not pop up while I playing a game. Even thought you did not get a response, can you give me the phone number you have to system support. Thanks. |
