The State Economic, Demographic, and Fiscal Handbook 2000

Excerpt

Excerpts from the millennial edition of the AARP Public Policy Institute's easy-to-use reference book featuring updated state-level data that are usually difficult to obtain in a single source. Compiled by David Baer, the biennial databook compares state and national data on population, poverty rates, per capita state personal income, revenues, state pension exemptions, and spending programs. The book also provides information on state and local tax rates and property tax relief programs.

Please note: the online edition of the Handbook consists of excerpts from the complete printed work which may be obtained by contacting Olive Jackson at 202/434-3871 or the Public Policy Institute at ppi@aarp.org (72 pages)
