Best Buys in November

Although most eyes turn to Black Friday for deals on holiday gifts, the other days of November may also be the best of the year to buy furniture.

After tracking two years' worth of data, dealnews.com reports that November beats out even January, long considered the best because furniture manufacturers begin introducing new lines in February and discount existing inventory.

Last year, for instance, there were 39 percent more deals in November than January, the website reports.

Other items worth buying in November: winter apparel, with discounts up of 40 percent or more just before Thanksgiving and on the day after; cookware (last November, there were about 25 percent more deals than average); and high-definition TVs (especially off-brands).

dealnews also predicts Black Friday can save you massive green on Blu-ray movies, laptops and android tablets.
