Know before you go—where to find free Internet access on the road, that is. Visit jiwire.com and get a list of free (and pay) Wi-Fi hot spots at your destination. The site's registry lists more than 300,000 sites in 144 countries. Search by location (ZIP code is enough) or type of venue. Results include address, phone number, map and directions.
And of course you can use these sites to find free service in your hometown.
