If you're like most Americans, you're drowning in paperwork that carries personal information that identity thieves would love to misuse.
- Bank statements
- Credit card offers
- Magazine and catalog covers
- Bills, bills, bills
No doubt you've been meaning to shred them. Maybe you've even bought a shredder.
But you might be behind, your shredder might not be up to the job, or you might lack the time or energy to do it.
Don't dread the shred.
AARP Indiana and private-sector teammates will shred your documents to smithereens during our annual Day of Service on May 10.
We'll use mobile trucks from industrial shredding companies that will shred your documents on site—no fuss, no muss, no worry about proper shredding and disposal.
We'll host Shredder Days of Service in three cities:
- Indianapolis
- Fort Wayne
- Evansville
The events are part of AARP's seventh Annual Day of Service, which demonstrates our deep commitment to community service and our belief that one day of collective effort can make a real difference.
It's also an opportunity for us to walk our talk about the critical importance of financial security, and an opportunity for you to protect yourself from identity theft and financial loss.
Best of all, it's absolutely free to AARP members and anyone else who wants to shred confidential or identifying documents. Everyone is invited, of all ages and circumstances.
Here’s where to go:
