Volunteers are AARP's greatest resource. With their know-how and enthusiasm, AARP can make a difference not only across New Hampshire, but across the entire country. Now, more than ever, volunteers are needed to help achieve the goals AARP members care about most — health and financial security, independent living, consumer protections and community service.

Whether your interests are in communications, advocacy, community service or operations, AARP has a fulfilling opportunity for you.

Advocacy Volunteers

AARP New Hampshire's Advocacy volunteers play an important role, supporting 210,000 members' interests in Concord and Washington. Advocacy volunteers talk to legislators, participate in grassroots activities, and work on issue and voter education. AARP New Hampshire's Legislative Agenda for 2003 provides a window into key issues.

Communications Volunteers

Communications volunteers' efforts will (1) provide support to all AARP New Hampshire advocacy and community service endeavors and (2) help build AARP New Hampshire as a resource for information on aging issues. Communications volunteers coordinate special events, talk to the media and educate the public on key AARP programs and services.

Community Service Volunteers

New Hampshire communities are strengthened and problems are solved with the help of community service volunteers. Whether an ongoing commitment or one day of service, there are a host of volunteer opportunities including AARP's national service programs — Tax-Aide and Driver Safety Program — to coordinating Chapter activities to our annual Day of Service, your involvement is welcome.

Operations Volunteers

Like working behind the scenes? Volunteer your time and talent helping us with mailings, phoning and other administrative duties. Enjoy meeting and greeting people? Join the team of specialists at the Information Center in Concord, sharing information about AARP products and services. Want to be a resource to our Chapters? Sign on to coordinate activities with our Chapters.

Become an AARP volunteer today by filling out a Volunteer Interest Form, indicating your area of interest, and someone will get back to you quickly.
