Four Hours For Big Savings
By: Source: AARP.org Date Posted: 2004-01-22 11:21:57
Beginning in February 2004, a four-hour time investment in the AARP Driver Safety Refresher Course can mean a 15% savings on your car insurance. Now, that's a return on your investment.
Now you can qualify for the next insurance discount level when you take the four-hour refresher course through Delaware's AARP Driver Safety Program. Delaware is the second state in the union to offer this abbreviated version of the nation's first and largest classroom driver safety refresher course geared for motorists 50+. The new course will start with three sessions, one in each county.
Students who have taken either an eight- or a six-hour basic course to qualify for the state's 10% reduction in personal liability and no-fault insurance premiums will be eligible to take the fully comprehensive, but shortened class when their initial three-year certification period ends.
Participants will learn about defensive driving techniques, new traffic laws, rules of the road and much more in this four-hour course. You'll find out how to adjust your driving to age-related changes in vision, hearing and reaction time—all without taking a test.
The cost for either the initial eight-hour or shortened four-hour refresher course is still only $10. Class sizes are limited. For a listing of classes in your area, visit AARP's Driver Safety Program online or call 1.888.AARPNOW.
