Bequests Language
Please note that gifts of this nature should be carefully considered in relation to your comprehensive financial and estate plans. We strongly recommend that you consult an attorney in the preparation of your will and to supervise its execution so as to comply with your state requirements. The following are examples for illustration only.
When including a bequest provision in your will, always use the full legal name and provide the federal taxpayer identification number.
Specific Bequest (Bequests Done Before All Others) I give __________ (describe asset) to the AARP Foundation, Federal I.D. #52-0794300, a non-profit corporation, 601 E Street, NW, Washington, DC 20049, to further the objectives and purposes of the AARP Foundation.
Cash Bequest (These Bequests Are Fulfilled After Specific Bequests And Before Residuary Ones) I give _________(dollars) ($________) to the AARP Foundation, Federal I.D. #52-0794300, a non-profit corporation, 601 E Street, NW, Washington, DC 20049, to further the objectives and purposes of the AARP Foundation.
Residuary Bequest (Bequest Made From The Remaining Assets In A Donor's Estate After Specific Cash, Taxes, Debts And Expenses Are Dispersed) I give _________ dollars ($__________) to the AARP Foundation, Federal I.D. #52-0794300, a non-profit corporation, 601 E Street, NW, Washington, DC 20049, to further the objectives and purposes of the AARP Foundation.
