AARP President Jennie Chin Hansen and AARP CEO Barry Rand are proud to present the 2009 Andrus Awards to acclaimed television pioneer Norman Lear.

The event will occur during AARP Presents Vegas@50+ | National Event & Expo. 

AARP is honoring Norman Lear for his remarkable record of achievement in television, filmmaking, philanthropy, political and social activism. He is one of the most influential individuals in the history of U.S. television creating "All in the Family," "Sanford & Son," "Maude," "Good Times" and many more ground breaking programs. Additionally, with the "Declaration of Independence" and "Declare Yourself" to founding "People For the American Way," AARP is pleased to honor Norman Lear for a lifetime of dedication, vision and commitment to service.

During the same gala evening, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences will present AARP with its prestigious Trustees Award for its leadership in communication through print, television and web innovation.

Program

The evening will begin with a Reception/Cocktail Hour for all attendees.
