Nikolaus G. van der Pas has over 40 years of experience working in various European institutions. Currently, van der Pas serves as Director-General of the DG Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities at the European Commission. Before his current position, he served as Director-General of the DG Education and Culture.
During his many years of service, Nikolaus G. van der Pas has led six different Directorates at the European Commission. He has also worked in the private sector in both the Netherlands and Germany.
