Line Vreven is AARP’s new acting Director for International Affairs. Line joined AARP’s Office of International Affairs in June. Most recently, Line ran her own international consulting firm. She has also served as former Head of European Affairs, Associate Vice President, at Pharmaceutical Research & Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), where she was in charge of developing and implementing strategic plans, advocacy projects, legal actions, grassroots campaigns as well as strategies for strengthening transatlantic relations.
Prior to her work at PhRMA, Vreven had a distinguished career as a law-qualified Belgian diplomat during which she was recognized with numerous awards by four governments and the U.N. for advancing business and humanitarian causes throughout the world. She is also a seasoned advisor on key European countries, the U.N. and other international and multi-national organizations and bodies.
