I would like to go to Virginia Beach, Va., for several days. Do you know of any good hotel choices there? My price range per night is less than $200. Thanks.

One suggestion is the Westin Virginia Beach Town Center Hotel. This is a central location close to the downtown area, the University of Virginia, and the Great American Outlet Mall. The amenities are above average, with 24-hour room service, valet parking, and free in-room video games for the kids. One warning: There is a highly annoying $10-a-day charge for using the Internet. Rooms start around $153 per night for a standard double, a price that includes taxes.

Of course, if you're looking for something actually on the beach (or at least very close to it), that's probably not the hotel for you. If the beach is what you're after, the Ramada on the beach is a fairly standard property in terms of pricing and amenities. Rooms start around $120 per night, including about $15 worth of taxes and an AARP discount.
