Is there itinerary insurance? We are planning an Eastern Mediterranean cruise with a primary objective of visiting Israel. We found a cruise with several ports of call in Israel. We are told that political conditions in the area could prevent stops in Israel. Is there insurance available to permit a return visit to Israel when conditions improve? –Sumner, Highland Park, Ill.

I'm wanting to take my 78year-old mother on a vacation. She is in good health but can only walk small distances. I was thinking about a Hawaiian cruise; she doesn't want to visit Mexico. We both love flowers and birds. She has been to Hawaii before, in April; I have not. She is willing to go again. Do you have any other ideas we should consider? -Kathy, Lowpoint, Ill.

Airlines instituted a "baggage charge" to compensate for raised fuel prices. Cruise ships also attempted to offset some of the "rising fuel" prices by charging a fuel surcharge for each person, etc. Question: Now that oil prices have dropped significantly, do you believe the airlines and cruise companies will continue to "stick it to us"? Thanks. –Norman, Poway, Calif.

I've tried various free Web sites—with no luck—to find a travel companion (female) to share a cabin on a 21-day, nine-country cruise to Eastern Europe, Russia, and Turkey on Regent departing on Sept. 18. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks! –Katie Los Angeles
