Q: I’m planning to go on a river cruise along the Danube. I will be visiting Prague, Germany, Austria, and Hungary. I’m traveling with an American passport. Do I need visas for these countries? Thank you.

A: These days, almost no European countries require visas, and none of the countries you mentioned belong on that short list. You won’t need to apply for any visas unless your trip is longer than 90 days. Happy travels!
