Mother Pearl

Mother Pearl is a neighborhood saint who, at age 83, is still looking after the people on her block in Harlem. For more than 50 years, she has fed the hungry, cared for the sick and buried the poor. Jon Kalish sat with Mother Pearl on the stoop of the Harlem brownstone she calls home.
