Speaking about the Divided We Fail initiative at the NPRC national membership conference in Harford, CT, President Mirabal said:

“Affordable, quality health care and lifetime financial security are two of the biggest challenges facing our nation today, and that is why the NPRC is joining the Divided We Fail initiative. By aligning ourselves with AARP and the Divided We Fail initiative, we can help raise awareness about the health and financial struggles so many Puerto Rican and Latino families are living with day in and day out. ”

“We are tired of hearing excuse after excuse from politicians who would rather score political points than address these critical issues. Through Divided We Fail, we will demand actions and answers to the challenges of health care and financial security in America.”

The National Puerto Rican Coalition works to strengthen and enhance the social, political, and economic well-being of Puerto Ricans throughout the United States and in Puerto Rico with a special focus on the most vulnerable. The National Puerto Rican Coalition, Inc. was incorporated as a membership organization in 1977.
