Over 2,000 Rally on Capitol Hill to Demand Action
Despite the soaring temperatures, more than 2,000 people converged on Capitol Hill on July 25th to be a voice for the millions of Americans who have neither health nor financial security. The crowd, wearing their Divided We Fail red shirts, demanded action on these important issues that affect families, friends and neighbors across the country.

Leaders from AARP, the Business Roundtable and SEIU, together with several members of Congress, emphasized the need to work together to create solutions to the skyrocketing health care costs and retirement security - issues that impact all of us - businesses, individuals and government.

After the rally AARP volunteers, members and staff, along with volunteers and staff from Business Roundtable and SEIU, fanned out across the Hill to meet with their members of Congress about the Divided We Fail pledge - a pledge to support affordable, quality healthcare for all Americans, and equitable solutions to ensuring life time financial security.
