Raise Your Voice for Change
Divided We Fail was launched last year by AARP, the Business Roundtable, the Service Employees International Union and the National Federation of Independent Business as a response to the critical need to raise the voices of millions of Americans who want to see substantial changes in health care and lifetime financial security issues.
Something serious is wrong in America when a lifetime of hard work and achievement can be wiped out by one serious illness.
Something is wrong in America when a lifetime of contribution to your company and your community can count for little or nothing when you are older.
Yet while millions face these critical issues, Washington is mired in partisan bickering.
We have spent the past year urging presidential and congressional candidates to offer honest, bipartisan solutions for these two critical issues.
Now, we’re asking you . . . as an American, as a Floridian, as a voter . . . to bring your voices to this conversation.
AARP is not alone in giving voice to Americans with this initiative.
Divided We Fail supporters represent a broad and diverse cross-section of Florida and America. Republicans, Democrats, Consumer Groups, Communities, Labor and Business – together – they bring millions of voices to our efforts. Together, we are demanding action.
But this initiative is about giving voice to others. So we invite Floridians, who believe that the time for partisan division is over, to join this discussion on health care and lifetime financial security. With the support of the thousands who have signed the Divided We Fail pledge, we will work toward a common goal: ending partisan gridlock and finding sensible, nonpartisan solutions that address the issues in a real and lasting way. With your voices, we’ll bring that message to Washington in a way that cannot be ignored.
