AAUW Joins Divided We Fail

Michele Warholic Wetherald signs the Divided We Fail platform.
On Friday, December 14th, Michele Warholic Wetherald, Executive Director of the American Association of University Women (AAUW), signed the Divided We Fail platform, putting the powerful AAUW network behind the fight for affordable, quality health care and long-term financial security for all Americans.
AAUW has long been a leader in key legislative debates affecting women, work and family. Advances made in areas of education and Title IX, workplace discrimination, civil rights, pay equity, and family and medical leave can be attributed to the hard work of the AAUW membership.
"AAUW is proud to join forces with AARP, SEIU, Business Roundtable and NFIB in Divided We Fail and its efforts to compel lawmakers to address widespread economic insecurity," said Wetherald. "AAUW has been engaging its members in critical public policy debates for more than a century. I am confident our members will use their powerful voices to deliver real results for Divided We Fail and for all Americans."
AAUW has a nationwide network of more than 100,000 members, 1,000 branches, and 500 college and university partners, and has been a leading advocate for equity and education for women and girls since 1881.
