Getting from one place to another has its risks for pedestrians, drivers and cyclists. Thousands of people are killed in traffic fatalities every year. The good news, especially for an aging population, is that through the complete streets program more and more communities are planning roads and sidewalks (or repairing them) to be safer. More good news: As a country we're on the right road to safer travel.
