Across the States 2000: Profiles of Long-Term Care Systems

Excerpts from the millennial edition of the AARP Public Policy Institute chartbook compiled by Steven Gregory, which features recent state-level statistics for long-term care under four major headings: demographics, home and community-based services, nursing facility services, and public expenditures for long-term care services. Included, for example, are demographic projections, nursing home occupancy rates, the percent change in the number of persons in nursing homes between 1995 and 1999, and changes in the allocation of Medicaid LTC expenditures from 1994 to 1999, and state-by-state rankings for several indicators.
