Share Your Views and Shape Our Future, Greater Manchester

AARP New Hampshire is inviting people 50+ in the Greater Manchester community to a series of discussions designed to get feedback on our programs and advocacy. We want to know what’s important to those 50+ in Greater Manchester.

“We want to engage community members in a fun and lively discussion that will ultimately shape our work with the 50+ in Greater Manchester,” said Sarah Kelsea, Associate State Director for Community Outreach. “Events will be scheduled once a month, March through July, and we will mail invitations to our members. But others interested in these community conversations can find out more via our Facebook page.”

These community conversations will help AARP New Hampshire staff and volunteers engage and understand issues of importance to community members and organizations, leading to programming and resources tailored to the desires of the 50+ in Greater Manchester. Financial security, consumer and fraud protection, healthy living, hunger, care planning as you age and medication management are all examples of potential programs customized for the community based on feedback from members.

Greater Manchester is a diverse and rich community and AARP New Hampshire will be working to reach as many people as possible. We welcome your thoughts on how we engage with a range of community members.

There are also many different ways to get involved and plenty of volunteer opportunities for those interested.

“We invite you to come and meet the current volunteers who live and volunteer in Greater Manchester,” commented volunteer Jane Rothwell. “There are so many meaningful opportunities and it is a great way to make an impact in your own community.”

Greater Manchester AARP members will find invitations to the different events in their mailboxes and are encouraged to share those invitations with friends and neighbors. Attend one event or a few; it’s a great way to meet new people and to learn a bit more about AARP in your own community.

We hope to see you soon! … Back to Article
