The AARP Pueblo Information Center, located at 1117 S. Prairie Avenue in the Sunset Plaza, has been serving the greater Pueblo community since 1998. It is open to serve the public Monday thru Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The center offers complementary consumer-oriented publications from both AARP and not-for-profit organizations in the Pueblo area on a broad array of health and economic issues of concern to the 50+ population and their families.
Additionally, the center offers monthly programming such as exercise and T’ai Chi and classes or workshops on such topics as driver safety, consumer fraud prevention and retirement planning. Please visit our current schedule.
We invite you to stop by the center and learn what it has to offer; browse around and enjoy a cup of coffee and free Wi-Fi!
The center is staffed entirely by volunteers. If you are someone who loves to learn and to interact with the public, the center needs you! Volunteer information Assistants answer telephone calls and assist walk-in visitors by making appropriate referrals to information and resources. They also provide support to programs held at the center. Volunteers should have good communication, organizational and problem-solving skills and the ability to work well with diverse populations. Volunteers receive training and support through the AARP Colorado State Office in Denver.
