The mercury is flirting with 100 degrees on a Thursday afternoon in New York. The humidity makes it feel even worse. But inside the air-conditioned Benjamin Rosenthal Senior Center operated by Selfhelp Community Services, about a dozen seniors are queued up to go virtual bowling on a Microsoft Xbox Kinect system on a big screen television set amid card and Mahjong tables.
