Launched by some of the largest car manufacturers, Vehicle-to-Vehicle Communications, or V2V, allows cars to "talk" to each other via wireless technology. V2V communicates between vehicles in the same vicinity, alerting drivers of potentially harmful situations such as sudden braking, blind spots and busy intersections. Advocates are calling V2V the greatest vehicular safety improvement since the seatbelt.
