Church counselor Jan Erickson had watched parishioners in care facilities struggle to dress themselves. So she addressed the issue, sewing a jacket for a stroke-disabled friend. One jacket became Janska, a clothing line that is easy to wear but also fashionable and dignified for owners previously relegated to hospital gowns.
We recently profiled Erickson’s transition from counselor to business owner on AARP’s “Your Life Calling” with Jane Pauley. Now we learn a little more about this caregiving clothing.
