Passing legislation on Medicare and Medicaid is hard enough-so imagine the complex government machinery required to actually provide the services mandated by our nation's health care safety net. Mark McClellan is Administrator of that agency-the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (www.cms.hhs.gov), formerly known as the Health Care Financing Administration. Host Mike Cuthbert joins McClellan in his office to talk about the recent changes in the Medicare program and how the new agency addresses the health care needs of some forty million Americans.
