Viagra Benefits Reduced

County shrinks supply of blue pills to help close budget gap

There may be a little less lovin' in Montgomery County, Md., where officials curtailed employees' Viagra benefits to help close a billion-dollar budget gap. Viagra is used to treat erectile dysfunction. The compromise, which shrinks the unlimited supply of little blue pills to six a month, followed a dustup over a proposal by County Executive Isiah "Ike" Leggett (D) to stop the benefits to save $400,000. "Actually, we heard from very few folks objecting to elimination," says spokesman Patrick Lacefield, "and lots who agreed with the executive's recommendation."
