Thanks to a healthy diet and an active lifestyle, Ford has learned to manage her condition. But not everyone catches the disease in time. Heart surgeon and television host Mehmet Oz, M.D., wants other Americans to take diabetes more seriously. Dr. Oz explains why a spoonful of sugar isn't always such a good thing.
