The U.S. obesity epidemic continues. Looking at data from 2008 to 2010, average obesity rates increased in 16 states and did not decline in any. Defining obese as a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30 or more, here is the percentage of the adult population in each state and D.C. considered obese. The states and the nation's capital are also ranked by their BMI.
