Did you know that the #1 killer of American women is heart disease?  In fact, more than 41 million U.S. women are at risk for or suffer from heart ailments, and even Hollywood’s hottest celebs are not immune. That’s why The Heart Truth, a national awareness campaign for women about heart disease, recently organized a star-studded fashion show that brought together celebrities and top tier designers to remind and inspire women to take action to protect their heart health.

During the event, personalities like Suzanne Somers, Denise Richards, Gayle King and so many others hit the runway in their own versions of the famous red dress, one of the most recognizable health symbols in the country.  “Heart disease is really a killer of women and we need to do what we can to educate women…they can prevent it, they can take steps to get healthier” says actress and reality show host Alison Sweeney while strutting her stuff on the red carpet.

My Generation got a behind-the-scenes peak into this celebrity fashion show and learned a thing or two about how to stay heart healthy.
