Tai chi is a martial art that relies heavily on the use of balance and strength. Its implementation of high motor skills has been favorable for many people who have serious physical issues. Fuzhong Li, a senior research scientist for the Oregon Research Institute, saw the benefits associated with tai chi, and decided that it would be a great tool for combating the negative effects of Parkinson's disease and arthritis.
