Dr. Adam Gazzaley leads one of the foremost brain research institutes in the world at UC San Francisco. From the recent AARP Life @ 50 Event in Los Angeles, he explains generally how brains work, what changes occur in the aging human brain, and how they differ from younger brains.

Specifically, Dr. Gazzaley’s research focuses on how the neural processes change as we age, the biology of memory and attention, and what factors can lead to dementia in older people. This research has provided many ways to prevent and alleviate memory and attention deficits.
