Utah is lucky to have a strong network of dedicated volunteers, and our neighborhoods and communities are better off thanks to their selfless deeds. This includes our own wonderful AARP volunteers who help promote and educate the public about our programs as well as volunteers who tutor children, work at food banks, and or help refugees find a safe place to live and work.
That’s why we wanted to share a great opportunity to highlight Utah’s volunteer work on a national scale – AARP’s Create The Good’s Win & Do Good Contest and Sweepstakes. Volunteers often need financial support for their causes, and this is a great way to share experiences and fund worthy charities. Sharing volunteer stories can also inspire others to serve and help educate the community about how they can become involved in helping others.
Volunteers are invited to visit Win & Do Good and submit their stories of service by September 30 for the chance to win up to $15,000 for the charity of their choice! Seven regional finalists will win $5,000 each for their charitable non-profit organization, and we would love for one of those finalists to be from Utah. One of the regional finalists will win the grand prize of an additional $10,000 for their charity.
Volunteers can also play the Volunteer Match game up to once a day through November 18 for a chance to win two $25 gift cards – one for themselves and one for a favorite charity!
Submit your story today and help your favorite charity win and do good!
