Are you a Maryland resident who wants to make a difference in their community?

Have you held a leadership role in a community group, government advisory body such as a Neighborhood Advisory Commission, fraternal or religious organization, social welfare organization or trade association?

If so, we may have the perfect volunteer opportunity for you.

AARP Maryland is looking for two leadership volunteers to join our Executive Council, help set our annual priorities, and guide our efforts to benefit not only members, but their families and neighborhoods as well. The executive council members will help communicate the vision and message of AARP to our more than 850,000 members statewide.

In addition to these two positions, AARP Maryland is seeking volunteers who are interested in becoming ambassadors for us : attending health fairs, local events, community meetings, advocacy outreach, working with staff and making a difference in your local community.

Being a volunteer for AARP Maryland is a rewarding experience that will enable you to contribute to making life better for those who are 50 and older.

If you are someone you know would be interested in applying for the Executive Council position, please read the job description and fill out the application and email to Sarah Shepard-Kneip at sshepard@aarp.org or call 410-895-7610.
