En español | Colorful and cool might say it best. In this slide show of photographs by Simon Bruty, Jeff Gordon and his Hendrick Motorsports team go through a typical routine before and on race day as they prepare for this year's NASCAR Sprint Cup Brickyard 400. Whether suited and helmeted for the race or advocating for the Drive to End Hunger, Gordon never loses his steely gaze on the ultimate goal: getting #24 to the checkered flag first.
Gordon poses for a picture with members of the military. He and other NASCAR drivers are appearing in a special public service announcement supporting military families, and 5,000 active duty and retired military personnel will attend the final Sprint Cup race of the season, on Nov. 20, as part of a tribute led by first lady Michelle Obama and Jill Biden, the vice president's wife.
