The AARP Foundation is AARP's charitable organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all as we age. We lead positive social change and deliver value to those 50 and older with emphasis on those at social and economic risk.
The AARP Foundation shares a common vision with AARP: A society in which everyone ages with dignity and purpose and in which the AARP Foundation helps people fulfill their goals and dreams.
Grants, tax-deductible contributions from AARP members, the general public, and AARP, fund Foundation programs. These funds are used to support the continued growth of the Foundation’s legal advocacy, community service and educational program work. The Foundation continues to respond to and seek new opportunities to achieve its stated goals and expand the reach of its programs to more low-income and vulnerable older Americans in need.
The Foundation has also strengthened its partnership with AARP by increasing its support of AARP's charitable programs that advance the Foundation's mission. AARP members are able to support the Foundation's good work through volunteerism and immediate and long-term financial contributions. This support helps expand the charitable work of the Foundation.
The AARP Foundation meets the Standards for Charitable Accountability of the BBB Wise Giving Alliance.
