Prime Time Postscript

PFC Nick Spry's Parents

On February 14 of this year, Private First Class Bryan Nicholas Spry, 19 years old, was killed in Iraq. Spry, who went by the name 'Nick', was driving a Humvee across a bridge in Baghdad when it collapsed. Five passengers were able to escape, but Nick drowned when a strap from his personal effects became hooked on the vehicle's turn signal. He was in Iraq just 39 days before he died.

Earlier this summer, producer Zachary Barr traveled to Chestertown, Maryland to speak with Nick Spry's parents, and brings us their story in this week's Prime Time Postscript.
