How to Become a Host

To host an AARP Driver Safety Program course, complete the online application form, or call, toll-free, 1-888-AARP-NOW (1-888-227-7669). To learn more about the AARP Driver Safety Program course, visit www.aarp.org/drive.

 

  

 

 

 

 

 

As a host of AARP's Driver Safety Program course, you can promote safe driving, help older drivers maintain their mobility, and promote independence among older adults in your community. Serving as a host is a great way for your organization to give back to the community.

Your participation as a host brings community members and participants to your facility and creates community goodwill. 

What It Means to Become a Host
Hosts typically provide a free and easily accessible room in which to hold the course. They often offer a VCR, TV, or DVD player, one of which is needed for the class.

Hosts can also help promote the course by displaying AARP Driver Safety Program materials in visible areas, on their Web sites, or in newsletters and in other forms of communication.

What the AARP Driver Safety Program Provides

The AARP Driver Safety Program supplies the following:

  • Trained instructors to teach the courses
  • Course materials, including workbooks for each participant
  • Promotional materials, such as brochures, posters, and bookmarks
