Gerontologist Bill Thomas is known for his innovative ideas about how to improve care for the aging. But he was the one picking up new ideas when he visited two amazing elder care communities on a recent trip to Australia. Dr. Thomas spoke with an aboriginal elder-care leader and the director of a homeless shelter that's really a home. Dr. Thomas talks with host Mike Cuthbert about what he learned from these two community leaders and their unique approaches to community-building and caring for vulnerable populations.
