The AARP Driver Safety Program is a community-based program that reaches over 700,000 people age 50+ throughout the United States each year. We depend on local community agencies to physically host our course at their facilities.

What It Means to Become a Community Sponsor

Sponsors typically provide a room and the VCR and TV equipment needed for the class and help with promoting the classes with their clients/customers.

Becoming a sponsor of the AARP Driver Safety Program is easy and it's a great way to make people aware of your organization while providing a much needed service to your community. Major national sponsors include:

  • senior centers,
  • banks,
  • hospitals and HMOs,
  • libraries,
  • law enforcement agencies,
  • places of worship
  • civic organizations

Local businesses also serve as sponsors. Monetary contributions are not required in order to become a program sponsor.

The AARP Driver Safety Program provides the following:

  • trained instructors to teach the courses;
  • course materials including workbooks for each student;
