Martin Sheen intervened in his son's life, because, he told AARP's Nancy Graham, "When a life is at stake, and it's your child, you become fearless."

The Golden Globe-winning actor talked at length with Graham for a profile in the July-August issue of AARP The Magazine where he discussed his son Charlie, and his problems with drugs and fame that threatened to take Charlie's life.
