Many state department of motor vehicle offices also have special departments that evaluate individual driving abilities and offer special licensing programs. Remember, their goal is not to take licenses away, but to help people keep driving as long as they safely can. Such programs can be especially helpful if you ever have to be re-examined. Contact your state for more information.
