AARP Foundation Experience Corps

AARP Foundation Experience Corps, a national leader in engaging older adult tutors to improve K-3 student literacy in disadvantaged schools, has joined forces with AARP, the nation’s largest organization for 50+ Americans.

As part of AARP Foundation, Experience Corps will have the opportunity to vastly increase its potential to tap into the experience and passion of older Americans to ensure that every child has a chance to succeed in school and in life.

AARP Foundation Experience Corps and PBS KIDS Launch Campaign to Reduce Summer Learning Loss

AARP Foundation Experience Corps, PBS member stations and their local partners have joined forces to provide literacy activity booklets to accompany new episodes of the popular show WordGirl, which will air on PBS stations and on YouTube over the summer.  Know some elementary age kids? You can download the activity book (PDF) and summer reading chart (PDF) to help bridge the summer learning gap and join WordGirl in expanding vocabularies of children everywhere!
