Barry Manilow Encourages Atrial Fibrillation Awareness

Music icon educates fans about his heart condition

Having sold more than 82 million records, Barry Manilow is one of the most well-known recording artists in the world. What you might not know is that the singer-songwriter, like 2.5 million other Americans, lives with an irregular heartbeat — a condition called atrial fibrillation, or "a-fib." Without proper monitoring, a-fib can lead to stroke, heart attack and heart failure.
