Peter Tork and The Monkees burst onto the music scene in 1966 as a made-for-TV phenomenon. The band produced four chart-topping albums in 12 months and left rock fans with such unforgettable tunes as Last Train to Clarksville and Daydream Believer. But the height of Monkees madness lasted only a brief two years and Tork’s life after superstardom was defined by countless highs and lows. Tork battled drug addiction and cancer, but through it all his love for music has remained the central focus of his life.

Today, Peter Tork is still doing what he loves and is hoping to be rediscovered as a blues musician.

My Generation paid a visit to this rock and roll legend to discuss his time as a Monkee and reveal how music is still a powerful driving force in this now country gentleman’s life.
