2. "Centerfield" -- John Fogerty
John Fogerty's 1985 hit is the anthem for every Little Leaguer and the parents and grandparents who root for them: "Oh, put me in, Coach -- I'm ready to play today. Put me in, Coach -- I'm ready to play today. Look at me, I can be Centerfield." Fogerty, formerly the leader of Creedence Clearwater Revival, was the first songwriter honored by the Baseball Hall of Fame on the song's 25th anniversary in 2010. He performed "Centerfield" on a baseball bat-shaped guitar called "Slugger."
