Ansel Adams, The Photos and the Man

Looking at Ansel Adams explores the photographer's life as an artist through 20 of his most significant images. The book — editor Andrea Stillman's 10th collection of the work of Adams — examines several of his most immediately recognizable photographs from new angles, along with ancillary photographs, alternative versions, and letters and postcards. Less familiar but equally important photographs also provide unexpected insight into the photographer's creative and personal life.
