What does it take to play on the Redskins Marching Band?

What do you get when you mix a few lawyers, some teachers, a minister, members of the armed forces and other professionals from all walks of life? You get toe tapping tunes and a time honored tradition known as the Redskins Marching Band. Established in 1937 by Preston Marshall, this group of 130 men and women volunteer their time and talent in support of the team and its energetic fans.

The Redskins Marching Band holds the distinction of being the longest running band in the NFL with some members clocking 50+ years of playing. Some members even now play alongside their children who were once too young to perform, making this a true intergenerational effort.
