One bright spot among all the recent bleak financial news is the suspension of requirements for people older than 70 1/2 to make withdrawals from retirement accounts in the year 2009. The one-year moratorium on required minimum distributions (RMDs) from retirement accounts can provide much-needed financial relief for many older Americans.
